The Good Neighbors’ Program is a non-profit volunteer organization founded in 1994 which greatly impacts the well-being of the Annisquam community in various ways:
CARING OUTREACH - Establish a network of support for individuals who may be ill or isolated - get well flowers and cards for those recovering from a medical condition, assistance with grocery shopping or medical related errands
RIDES - Provide periodic transportation to critical medical appointments - North Shore, Burlington, Boston
SUPPLEMENTARY MEALS - Assist in providing temporary meal support in response to a specific illness or injury
SOCIAL INTERACTION - Facilitate community connection through social events throughout the year - Winter Dinner, Spring Brunch, Summer Outings, Fall Luncheon, Off-season Movies
COLLATION SERVICES - Support grieving families by organizing collation details - coordinate the preparation and serving of refreshments
EMERGENCY RESPONSE - Partner with the Annisquam Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to identify individuals who may be vulnerable and in need of a specific intervention - advocate for resources on behalf of the Annisquam community in times of crisis - provide a method of communication connecting our community in emergency situations
Please join us! Supporting the Good Neighbors’ Program may be done at various levels, depending upon individual interest and availability.
ACTIVE MEMBER - Participate in the development, planning and execution of GNP initiatives while attending at least 4 of the 7 meetings annually.
SUPPORTING MEMBER - Provide support on an as-needed basis whenever time and resources would allow.
CONTRIBUTING MEMBER - Support GNP efforts through a financial contribution.
